A cache is a storage space for temporary files that allow apps to load more efficiently.
If you are noticing intermittent hiccups when viewing video on or using the Fubo app such as momentary freezing/buffering or buttons responding slowly, clearing the cache can help improve performance.
Find your device below for instructions on clearing cache:
- From the Fire TV menu, select Settings
- Go to Applications
- Go to Manage Installed Applications
- Select Fubo
- Select Clear Cache

- From the device home screen, open the Settings
- Tap the Storage heading to open its settings page
- Tap Other Apps to see a list of your installed apps
- Find Fubo and tap its listing
- Tap the Clear Cache button

- From the Android TV Home screen, go to Settings
- Choose Apps > See All Apps
- Select Fubo
- Select Clear Cache > OK
- If the issue persists, select Clear Data > OK
Apple recommends uninstalling and reinstalling apps to clear cache and data.
Chrome
- At the top right of your browser window, select More (three vertical dots)
- Highlight More Tools, then select Clear browsing data
- Choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time
- Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
- Select Clear data
Edge
- At the top right of the browser window, select Settings and more (three horizontal dots)
- Choose Settings, then Privacy and services
- Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear
- Choose a time range from the Time range drop-down
- Select what types of data you want to clear
- Select Clear now
Firefox
- Click the menu button (three lines) and select Preferences
- Select Privacy & Security
- Under Cookies & Site Data, choose Clear Data
- Make sure the box next to Cached Web Content is checked
- Click Clear
Safari
- In the menu bar (top left) of your Safari browser window, click History
- Choose Clear History
- Choose a time frame from the drop-down
- Select Clear History
For Chromecast with Google TV, follow the steps below. For older Chromecast devices, follow the steps for the device you’re casting from to clear cache.
- From the Google TV home screen, select the user profile icon, then select Settings
- Select Apps, then See All Apps
- Choose Fubo
- Select Clear cache, then OK
- Press the Home button on your remote
- Choose Network from the options
- Hit the Clear Internet Memory button
Apple recommends uninstalling and reinstalling apps to clear cache and data.
LG recommends uninstalling and reinstalling apps to remove cached files and data.
Cache on Roku devices is automatically cleared whenever your device is restarted. To perform a system restart:
- Choose Settings from the Roku home screen
- Select System > Power > System Restart
- Your Roku device will automatically restart
To clear the cache manually:
- On the Roku home screen, make sure Home is highlighted
- Press the following remote buttons consecutively:
- Press Home 5x
- Press Up once
- Press Rewind 2x
- Press Fast Forward 2x
Note: The steps shown below are for 2020 or newer Samsung Smart TV models.
- Press the Home button on the remote
- Open Settings
- Navigate to Device Care
- Select Manage Storage
- Select the Fubo app
- Select View Details
- Choose Clear Data
- Choose Clear Cache
- Select Close
If the steps shown are unavailable on your TV, a hard reset of the TV should clear the cache
- With the remote: Hold down the Power button for (about) five seconds until the TV turns off and on again.
- With the plug: Unplug your TV from the wall outlet or surge protector. Leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, then plug back in and power on the TV
- Select My Games and Apps from the XBOX home menu
- Choose Apps
- Highlight the Fubo app
- Press the Menu button on the XBOX controller (three parallel lines) to bring up More Options
- Select Manage App, then clear the Saved data
