Overview
With Fubo’s Digital Wallet, Fubo customers can now add a default and backup payment method to their Fubo accounts. This way, if an issue is encountered with the default payment method, the backup can be used to ensure no interruptions in service.
Use this guide for details on how to add payment methods and how to manage your Digital Wallet.
💳 How do I add a backup payment method to my Fubo account?
Start by logging into your Fubo account at fubo.tv/account/billing.
From there:
- Under Saved payment methods, select Add backup payment method
- Enter the information for your new payment method, then select Save payment method
- Your new payment method will be saved as a backup, and the payment method already on file will be set as default, or primary payment method
Additional notes about adding a backup payment method:
- Your backup payment method must be a valid credit or debit card
- You cannot add the same payment method as both default and backup
🧑💻 How do I manage my Digital Wallet?
- To manage your Digital Wallet, sign in to your Fubo account at fubo.tv/account/billing. Then, next to Saved payment methods, select Manage
- You can swap your payment methods, update one or both payment methods, or remove a payment method
How to swap your Default and Backup payment methods
- To swap your Default and Backup payment methods, from your Saved payment methods screen, select Make default or Make backup
- Then, select Make backup or Make default again on the confirmation that appears
How to update your payment methods
- To update one or both of your payment methods, from your Saved payment methods screen, select Update
- Enter the details of your new payment method, then select Save payment method
How to remove a payment method
- To remove a payment method, from your Saved payment methods screen, select Remove under the payment method you no longer want to use
- To finish, select Remove payment method on the confirmation screen that appears
Additional notes on removing payment methods:
- Removing your Default payment method will automatically set your Backup payment method as Default
- If the option to remove a payment method is not available, you will not be able to complete this action until your next payment
- You will not be able to remove both payment methods from your Fubo account

Can I add a checking account or other form of payment as my backup payment method?
- No, Fubo accepts credit or debit cards from Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express as valid payment methods
I’m receiving a message that my payment method can’t be authorized; what can I do?
- There are several reasons why your payment method may be unable to be authorized
- These typically involve issues with your payment method provider
- Either contact your provider or try a different payment method to continue
- For more information on why your payment method could not be authorized, see: Why was my card declined?
I don’t see the option to remove a payment method; what can I do?
- If you only have one payment method saved, you will not be able to remove that payment method
- If you have two payment methods saved and the Remove option isn’t visible, you will not be able to remove one of your payment methods until the end of your current billing period
