How can I watch an in-progress Cloud DVR recording?

 If you want to watch an event you are recording live, you have options for either starting the recording from live, or if you want to pause or rewind, there are options for getting back to live programming.

For more details, choose your device type below:

Start from Live

From the Home, Shows, Movies, or My Stuff screen:

  • Find the event you're recording from the Home, Shows, Movies, or My Stuff screens
  • Click the Play button to play the event live

  • To start from the beginning, click More options (three dots), and click Play from start

From the Sports screen:

  • Head to the Sports screen and find the event
  • Click the Play button to play the event live

  • To start from the beginning, click More options (three dots), and click Play from start

Get back to Live

If you're watching an in-progress recording and you've paused, rewound or played your event from the start, get back to live using the Watch Live button in your player controls.

Start from Live

From the Home, Guide, Shows, Sports, Movies, or My Stuff screen

  • Select the event you're recording
  • From the menu that appears, select Watch Live (the exact wording may vary depending on your device)

  • To play your event from the beginning, select Play from start

Get back to Live

If you're watching an in-progress recording and you've paused or rewound the action, you can easily get back to the live action. Steps may vary slightly by device:

  • Amazon Fire TV/Android TV: Press the up arrow on your remote to access player controls, then navigate to the Go to Live button
  • Apple TV: Swipe down on the touchpad to access program info, then select Play from Live
  • Roku: Press the down arrow on your remote to access player controls, then select Info & Options (directly below the progress bar; from here, select Go Live
  • Smart TVs (Hisense VIDAA, LG, Samsung, Vizio or Xbox): Press the OK/Enter button on your remote to access player controls, then navigate to the Go to Live Button

Start from Live

From the Home, Sports, Shows, Movies or My Stuff screen:

  • Find your event on the Home, Sports, Shows, Movies or My Stuff screen
  • Tap it to begin watching live

  • To start from the beginning, select your event to begin playing, then tap the screen to bring up your Player Controls
  • From there, tap the Start Over button

Get back to Live

Live button

If you've started watching an in-progress recording from the beginning, you can automatically jump to live using the player controls.

Tap the screen to bring up player controls, then tap Live.
