For help with a black screen or an error that says “Can’t Play This Stream” when attempting to view programming on Fubo, select the type of stream you’re watching below:
Check Status Updates
Check our Status Updates page to see if we're experiencing an outage.
Restart Stream
Restart the stream for the event/channel: Change to another channel and then back to the one you were having an issue with.
Sign out and back in
To sign out, from the menu, select Account or My Profile (or the current profile name), then select Sign Out. Once you've signed out, select the option to sign in.
Restart Fubo
Fully close or force close the app and then relaunch it.
Restart Device
Restart your streaming device and/or computer:
- Follow the device manufacturer's instructions to do this or perform a hard reset by unplugging the device from power for 1 minute, then rebooting
Reinstall Fubo
Uninstall and then reinstall the app on your device.
Note: If you are streaming on a Samsung Smart TV, please disregard this step and move to the next.
Check Another Device
Try streaming from another device with the Fubo app, so you can continue watching right now:
- If you are experiencing an issue watching on a TV device such as a Roku or Apple TV, try watching on a mobile device or computer to see if you experience a similar issue
Check Internet Speed
Make sure your internet is fast enough for streaming Fubo - Click here for details.
Restart Modem/Router
Unplug your WIFI Router and/or Cable Modem from the power outlet for a minute or so and restart it.
- Wait for your network to come back up and launch Fubo
If you’re experiencing a black screen when attempting to watch a stream in 4K, it’s likely because your device is unable to stream content in 4K UHD. Try the below suggestions to quickly get back to viewing your programming:
Make sure your device is compatible with 4K programming
Check the Fubo 4K-compatible devices list to make sure your device is supported.
Find this information here.
If your device is not compatible with 4K, try streaming from a different device on the list (if available).
Watch in HD
If your current device is not compatible to play 4K programming and you don’t have an additional 4K-compatible device available, you can continue watching the high-definition (HD) stream.
For events in 4K, there will also be an HD stream available. Find the same event in your Guide, Home, or Sports screen without the 4K logo to continue streaming.
