The local channels you receive are based on where you are when you are streaming Fubo. Depending on the device you’re using, we determine your location one of two ways.
- Phone/tablet - we utilize your actual GPS location to pinpoint where you are
- Browser and connected devices - we determine your location based on your IP address
If you're missing or not receiving the correct local channels, try these steps:
- Log in to your account at fubo.tv and set your Home Network
- Wait 5 minutes
- Restart the Fubo app on your device
If the above resolves your issue, you're all set! If not, choose the device type where you're missing your local channels below for more detailed troubleshooting:

- Change location settings to use the highest accuracy setting on your device - you may need to consult your phone manufacturers instructions to change this setting.

Why does this happen?
When you connect to Fubo, your device's location is determined through different methods depending on the device type. Sometimes, your device location may be pinpointed to a location that's not where you are physically located.
This discrepancy in location data can lead to receiving the wrong local channels - such as channels from a neighboring city - or no local programming at all.
Can I prevent this from happening again?
Most internet service providers will use a dynamic IP address for your device. Just like how you might get sat at a different table each time you visit a restaurant, dynamic IP addresses can change each time you connect a device to the internet.
While dynamic IP addresses will work just fine for streaming Fubo, if you find that your location is frequently being pinpointed incorrectly, you may wish to talk with your internet service provider about possible solutions.
